Google adds Magazines to Google Book Search

Google has announced that it has begun adding magazines to its Google Book Search service.

Millions of pages from New York Magazine, Popular Mechanics, Popular Science, Men’s Health, Ebony and other publications will be available along side book scans, and all with permission from publishers. The catalog includes access to full back copies, so you can read entire magazines, not just extracts as is often the norm with books on the service

Magazines will be included in the mix for general Book Search search results, or users can select magazines only via the advanced search option.

The number of magazines are limited at the moment, but Google said that it was looking at expanding the number.
