Dianna Agron Likes Girls? Shirt Prompts Gleek Speculation

Glee fans, also known as “gleeks,” are known for heavy handed speculation when it comes to both the storylines of the show as well as gossip surrounding the musical hit’s main characters.

Dianna Agron- who plays love rival of Rachel Berry, teen mom and Cheerio Quinn- gave Gleeks a bit of an early gossip birthday present at a recent Glee performance by sporting a “likes girls” shirt during a rendition of “Born This Way.” Does Dianna like girls? Is there an impending Quinn/Santana story line next season?

Popdust notes the shirt is an update to the original version worn on the TV performance of the number:

The number echoed the cast’s performance from the super-sized episode this season, in which New Directions members wore shirts proudly reclaiming their insecurities by announcing things that made them feel different. (In the original performance, Quinn wore “Lucy Caboosey,” referring to the cruel nickname she was given as a chubby middle schooler.)

On her blog, Agron explains why she switched up her selection:

Instead of wearing my usual shirt during “Born This Way” I decided to wear one that said “Likes Girls”. It should actually have read, “Loves Girls”, because I do. The women in my life give me things that the men in my life can’t. And vice-versa. No, I am not a lesbian, yet if I were, I hope that the people in my life could embrace it whole-heartedly.

Agron adds:

Last night, I wanted to do something to show my respect and love for the GLBT community. Support that people could actually see. Which is why I decided to change my shirt for the show. I happened to read a few comments that were posted on twitter. Many of you asked, “why?” This is my response. I am not asking for you to agree with what I am saying, but if you are listening, thank you. That is all I can ask.

Do you think that’s the whole story, or is there maybe something we don’t know yet about Quinn?
