Anna Kendrick Takes New York Fashion Week By Storm

Anna Kendrick has taken New York Fashion Week by storm and has popped into quite a few shows since the event took off on February 6. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the Pitch Perfect star has been spotted at multiple shows, including Carolina Herrera, Monique Lhuillier, Jill Stuart, Rebecca Minkoff, MIlly and Kate Spade.

Of course, Anna Kendrick isn’t the only star taking part in the festivities. Reports state that some of those stars include Carrie Underwood, Emmy Rossum, Zosia Mamet and Tina Fey. Bee Shapiro of The New York Times talked to Kendrick and asked her what she thought of her experience at her first New York Fashion Week.

It’s so full on. It’s not really what I expected. I went to a couple of shows at London Fashion Week, and it definitely wasn’t any more civilized, but it was just a little smaller, so it was easier to handle. This is all very intense, but I am having so much fun. Obviously the shows just blow my mind.”

Shapiro also remarked on Kendrick’s rather sassy Twitter account. She asked the 28-year-old actress if she was keeping her followers up-to-date on her Fashion week adventures and Kendrick replied with:

“I have been, but I don’t want to bombard people. I’m trying to make a compilation of photos to post at the end of the week. I don’t want it to suddenly feel like all I tweet about is fashion. I need to keep the dirty jokes — delicately interspersed.”

Anna Kendrick recently made news for her hilarious “non-Super Bowl” ad for Newcastle. According to The Inquisitr, the ad for Newcastle Brown Ale is set up as a behind-the-scenes discussion with the Pitch Perfect star about a commercial that was never actually filmed. The ad starts off as a sort of rant about ads not being able to say the word “Super Bowl” which then leads into the actress contemplating her level of “hotness.”

“I was surprised I even got offered the part, you know?” Kendrick says. “Cause I don’t think of myself as like ‘beer commercial babe’ hot, you know? I mean, I’m hot but like approachable hot, like the hottest girl in your improv class hot. Like, hot to the kind of guys who… feel bad for calling a girl hot.”

While Anna Kendrick may debate her level of “hotness” it’s no doubt she’s been a hot presence at this year’s New York Fashion Week, reportedly sitting first row at a total of six runway shows thus far.
