id Software’s Rage Delayed A Month

Originally due out September 10, id Software announced today that the release date for Rage has been pushed back into October 4 in North America, October 7 in Europe.

id Software didn’t care to share just why the game was seeing a measly three week delay, but it might have something to do with that other shooter due out in September. You know, that humble little title from Epic Games? I think they call it Gears of War 3 or something of that nature.

Joking aside, I don’t think fans of Rage will be too disappointed by this news. What’s another three weeks after a nearly four year wait, after all?
