Taylor Swift On Love And Relationships

Taylor Swift opened up about love and relationships in her newest interview with Glamour magazine. Then again, this isn’t the first time the singer has opened up on these topics, but it was defiantly a topic up for discussion during her interview for the upcoming March 2014 issue of Glamour magazine. So what did the “Red” singer have to say?

“If I could go back and give myself any advice, I wouldn’t [do it] because I’ve had such incredible adventures,” said Swift according to Time. Sure, its common knowledge that Swift has had her fair share of adventures when it comes to the dating world. The star has, after all, been linked to Joe Jonas, Jake Gyllenhaal, John Mayer, Taylor Lautner, and of course we can’t forget Harry Syles.

Of course, dating, relationships and love weren’t the only things on the menu during her interview with Glamour. In a recent report by The Inquisitr, Taylor Swift compared writing songs to getting nude, well in a way. While talking to Glamour, the 24-year-old singer stated that she doesn’t get a rush from the idea of being half-naked at every opportunity. Instead, she gets her rush from revealing her life through her music.

“For me, ‘risky’ is revealing what really happened in my life through music. Risky is writing confessional songs and telling the true story about a person with enough details so everyone knows who that person is,” Swift told the publication.

Taylor claims that she has plenty of advice to give to her friends who are younger than her. According to E! News, Taylor seems to know how to play the dating game just as well as anyone. So while most of her chart topping songs may be about heart-break and pain, that doesn’t mean she doesn’t know how to deal with all aspects of relationships.

“I think everyone should approach relationships from the perspective of playing it straight and giving someone the benefit of the doubt,” she said of dating. “Until he establishes that this is a game. And if it’s a game, you need to win. The best thing to do is just walk away from the table.”

So what happens when a relationship starts to go sour? Well, if it’s just a fight, Swift says to never yell, instead keep tones down or just stay silent. “Silence speaks so much louder than screaming tantrums,” she explained. “Never give anyone an excuse to say that you’re crazy.”
