Chloe Grace Moretz Upset By ‘Small’ $500k Paycheck, Wants More Strong Hollywood Women

Chloe Grace Moretz’s net worth may be significantly higher than most Americans, but according to rumors that didn’t stop her from complaining about her measly $500,000 paycheck.

In a related report by The Inquisitr, while Mortez was “intimidated” by acting in Stephen King’s Carrie remake, she did a great job by using method acting during filming.

According to Star Magazine, Chloe was quite outraged that 10-year-old actress Quevenzhané Wallis managed to make $750,000 working on Annie, which made her own paycheck of $500k seem a little bit small in comparison:

“She couldn’t believe that a 10-year-old would make more money than her.”

But other websites like RumorFix spoke to unnamed sources supposedly close to the star and they claim Mortez would never say something like this:

“Chloe is not like that. She doesn’t compare herself to other actresses younger, her age or older. She loves other actresses and actors and this business. She thinks there is room for everyone. She is not a mean girl. Chloe would NEVER talk like this.”

While Chloe may not be a mean girl she does think Hollywood needs more portrayals of strong women. As an example, she points out how Scarlett Johansson was told to “wear the spandex and push your boobs up.” She complains the film industry “is a man’s world” and that strong female women like the Black Widow are still portrayed in an overly sexual way in order to appeal to men’s fantasies. For example, there actually was a controversy over the Avengers poster was photoshopped to make the Black Widow’s butt stand out with a ridiculous pose. Citing sexism, some wondered what men would be like if forced to do the same:

So Chloe hopes Wonder Woman is allowed to be a strong woman in Batman vs. Superman:

“I think what it’ll be is Wonder Woman. I think Wonder Woman is someone that might be able to walk in and do something really cool… A lot of the female characters are written that way in the comics, of being submissive, very sexually driven. They’re the kryptonite! I think Wonder Woman was one of those characters that really was a strong female character. The closest we’ve gotten to that is Catwoman with Michelle Pfeiffer.”
