Miley Cyrus Says ‘Bangerz’ Tour ‘Educational’ For Kids, Bans Twerking

Miley Cyrus’ comments are once again creating headlines, as she is claiming her “Bangerz” tour, which kicks off this week, will be “educational” for kids.

Exactly what part of the performance will have an “educational” value is not clear, but the twerking star explained her thought process like this:

“People are taught to look at things so black and white, especially in small towns.

“I’m excited to take this tour to places where (art) like this wouldn’t be accepted, where kids wouldn’t learn about this different kind of art.”

“I’ll have things falling out of the sky that most people would sell at the merch table. My thing has never been about me making money. I did (that) when I was a kid.

“I made the money I needed to make, and now it’s about putting money into the tour and making sure my fans get the best show, (making) it worth going to see.”

Parents may not agree with the assessment the former Disney star gives about her upcoming tour, — which opens on Valentine’s Day, February 14, in Vancouver, Canada — but Miley doesn’t seem to be fazed about what anyone else thinks.

Speaking to her sister, Brandi, who is a correspondent for Fuse News, Miley Cyrus also shared that she is taking inspiration from her MTV Unplugged performance with Madonna, who was just as controversial in her days.

“I want to make things look high-end, like something you would see on Madonna’s tour, but make it feel a lot more young.”

Miley Cyrus has been in the headlines in what seems to be an effort to attract attention for the most outrageous behavior on and off stage.

It all started at the MTV VMAs last August, in the now infamous twerking appearance alongside “Blurred Lines” singer Robin Thicke.

Since then, she has been embroiled in scandalous headline after scandalous headline for her skimpy outfits, tongue hanging shenanigans, and general wild antics.

But now she is focused on her “Bangerz” tour and promises it will be an amazing experience for those who decide to come and see her shows. Miley Cyrus has even said she will be throwing collectible merchandise into the audience, so her loyal fans can have access to a little treat.

The outspoken singer has also banned twerking from her tour saying that she wants to be taken seriously and appreciated for her talent.

According to sources, Miley Cyrus is well aware of what people are saying about her antics and wants to show the world she is a talented artist, however, we will see the raunchy outfits we have come to expect from the pop diva.
