Selena Gomez: Stalker Sentenced To 120 Days In Jail

Selena Gomez has one less problem to worry about right now.

Juan Garcia, the man who was recently busted for trespassing at the singer’s California home, will spend the next few months behind bars. To ensure he doesn’t try any funny business down the road, he’s also ordered to keep his distance from Gomez and her home going forward.

According to reports, Selena Gomez’s 19-year-old stalker was recently ordered to spent 120 days in the Los Angeles County Jail. The judge also said that Garcia should stay 150 feet away from the former Wizards of Waverly Place star for the next three years.

The Inquisitr previously reported that police rushed to Gomez’s home after her family spotted a suspicious character lurking around the property. When police arrived at the scene, the teenager said he was simply trying to get a good look at the singer. As a result, Garcia was immediately taken into custody.

The 19-year-old stalker will also spend the next three years on probation. If he violates the terms of his restraining order or lands in hot water again, then he could find himself spending even more time in a very small cell.

Unfortunately for Selena Gomez, this isn’t the first time someone got in trouble for giving the singer a serious case of the creeps. Gomez previously received a restraining order against Thomas Brodnicki, a man who freely admitted that he poses a risk to the singer.

“I believe that a restraining order should be issued against me to prevent me from trying to contact Selena Gomez. I do not wish to object to the restraining order against me because I know it is the only thing that will make me stay away from Selena,” he said in court documents.

Gomez has faced a considerable amount of drama during the early part of 2014. Shortly after ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber found himself swimming in legal problems, reports surfaced that Selena spent two weeks in rehab for undisclosed reasons.

While the gossip machine suggested Justin Bieber was to blame, anonymous sources alleged that Selena Gomez had a serious problem with drugs and alcohol. This is also reportedly the reason she canceled several shows throughout Asia and Australia. However, the singer has yet to officially address the situation as of this writing.
