Emma Watson Misses Harry Potter, Just Not Hermoine Granger

Emma Watson apparently misses the familiar atmosphere of the Harry Potter movies, although she doesn’t miss Hermoine Granger much at all.

In a related report by The Inquisitr, J.K. Rowling is now saying it was a mistake to pair up Hermoine Granger with Ron. Meanwhile, the author is working hard on a play that will bring Potter back in addition to a movie based upon Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them.

After spending her childhood in the wizarding world, Emma Watson felt no one would take her seriously and that she was forever typecast as Hermoine Granger. While trying to decide what to do about her career, Emma Watson enrolled at Brown University to work on a degree in English. In fact, it was so bad that Watson’s college professor told her to give up acting, and she was once even searching for a job as an intern. Still, she believes the college experience has given her a “larger understanding of humanity” and she’s sure this will make her job as an actress “more interesting.”

Despite surprising everyone with her infamous pixie cut in 2010, Watson claims she’s not a bad girl at all. While she loves looking at other people’s tattoos, she doesn’t think she could pull one off because her “own self-image would not allow it.” She also reveals that she isn’t a party girl at all:

“I don’t like to party. The truth is that I’m genuinely a shy, socially awkward, introverted person. At a big party, I’m like Bambie in the headlights. It’s too much stimulation for me, which is why I end up going to the bathroom! I need time outs! You’ve seen me at parties, Derek. I get anxious. I’m terrible at small talk and I have a ridiculously short attention span.”

So, perhaps there is a little bit of Hermoine that stuck with her? During an interview, Emma was asked about the Harry Potter franchise and how it was “like a little family and everyone knew each other.” Watson’s response:

“It was. I miss the people too. I miss the familiarity.”

But Emma Watson’s Harry Potter experience is no longer holding her back. Besides The Bling Ring, Noah, and playing herself in This Is The End, she’s now set to co-star alongside Ethan Hawke in a thriller called Regression, which is about father accused of a crime he has no memory of committing.
