Demi Lovato Hires Nick Jonas As Musical And Creative Director For Neon Lights Tour

Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas are not only friends, but also co-workers of sorts! Reps for both musicians confirmed to E! News that Jonas has officially been hired as Demi Lovato’s musical and creative director for her “Neon Lights” tour.

“I’m overseeing video content, wardrobe, lighting and staging,” says Jonas. “And then I’m extending into the musical side of things, which includes creating the arrangements for the songs. I’m building what Demi wanted, which is a show without stops and starts.”

According to E! News, Jonas started working on Lovato’s tour a few months ago. Rolling Stone reported that the two began working together around the time the Jonas Brothers officially announced their split. Jonas stated that he was very excited when he was offered the position.

“Demi and I have the same manager. The relationship that Demi and I had over eight years really gives me the insight into how to best communicate with her and her team.”

The Inquisitr recently reported that Joe Jonas spilled the beans about doing pot with Demi Lovato, something Lovato claims she doesn’t remember doing. Of course, she didn’t deny the fact. The report stated that Joe had called Lovato to warn her that he mentioned doing the drug with her and Miley Cyrus during an interview with New York Magazine.

“Well, he had warned me, like, a couple of days before and said. ‘Hey heads up, like, I did an interview and I talked about smoking pot with you and Miley.’ And I was, like, ‘We smoked pot together?’ Like I don’t even remember [because] clearly I was like, I was chilling. Okay, like, I don’t remember but I’m pretty sure it happened,” Lovato said.

Nick Jonas said that he’s been working on the “Neon Lights” tour a lot the last few weeks. He told Rolling Stone that he’s been in rehearsals with the band for the last two weeks.

“The biggest challenge has been just trying to rethink some of the music and see how we could compliment it with lights and video. I sat down with the band and said to them, ‘You need to step into this like it’s a new gig. None of these arrangements are going to sound like the originals, so you need to have an open mind.'”

When asked about his plans after Demi Lovato’s “Neon Lights” tour finally kicks off, Nick said he plans on getting back to work on his solo album. “Some of it is done and ready to be released.”

Demi Lovato’s “Neon Lights” tour is scheduled to begin on February 9th in Vancouver. Will you be in attendance?
