Lady Gaga Gives Sharon Osbourne A Hug At 2014 MusiCares Event, Ends Feud

Those of you who loved the fact that Lady Gaga was feuding with Sharon Osbourne will have to find another way to wile away the hours this year.

Things started to sour last year when Kelly Osbourne said a few impolite things about the “Applause” singer. Once fans caught wind of the situation, they lashed out at the Fashion Police co-host. This resulted in Sharon Osbourne labeling Lady Gaga’s fans as the worst people on the planet, a statement the singer didn’t take lightly.

Lady Gaga then penned an open letter to Kelly, a missive that took issue with the nasty comments and her involvement with Fashion Police. Not one to sit around and let a pop star criticize her daughter, Sharon Osbourne penned her own open letter. In short: Lady Gaga should shut up, be nice to animals, and get control of her fans.

“Stop wearing fur, stop looking for publicity, and stop using your fans to belittle not just Kelly but an endless stream of celebrities. A word from you would stop all the hideous, negative and vile threats from your ‘little monsters.’ Let me know if you want to continue this debate. I’m an open playing field for you my darling,” Sharon wrote.

Still with us? It’s okay if you’re overwhelmed by all of that information. After all, that’s definitely a lot of celebrity-related gossip to process in one sitting. Although Lady Gaga and the Osbournes had their problems in the past, apparently they decided to mend the proverbial fences at the recent MusiCares event.

“I’m determined we’re going to bury the hatchet,” Sharon told the singer at the event.

Lady Gaga seemed eager to put the problems in the past as well. She said, “Is it not buried? I’m a really huge fan of you guys for a very long time, so it’s totally water under the bridge.”

The singer continued, “I was just telling Ozzy I used to strip to Black Sabbath’s ‘Black Sabbath.’ And I used to wear, like, a bikini, and my girlfriend [DJ] Starlight would come out with a phantom mask on and we’d do this whole ‘Phantom of the Opera’ routine.”

Although that last part was probably too much information for most people to process, at least Sharon Osbourne and Lady Gaga have officially squashed their differences. If the news ruins your weekend, then rest assured that there’s probably another celebrity feud lurking just around the corner. That’s almost a guarantee.
