Eva Marcille Gives Birth To Daughter, Shares Photo

Eva Marcille revealed on Friday that she has given birth to her first child, a baby girl.

Marcille, who won the third cycle of America’s Next Top Model in 2006, informed the world of her glorious news by posting an image of herself moments after she’d gone through labour onto her Instagram page.

She was also joined by her husband, singer-songwriter, Kevin McCall, who posted an image too. McCall wrote, “Wow she has her mothers eyes. Never knew I could fall in love again @evamarcille#prouddad.” Marcille echoed these sentiments by adding the caption, “I’ve never know a love like this,” to her own social media page.

McCall continued to pepper the internet with adorable pictures of him and his daughter throughout the day. He even used this medium to inform his fans of her name.

An image of him cuddling her in the hospital was joined by the statement, “Marley Rae McCall… She came out fighting the nurses! This is def our child lol thank you Jesus Christ for everything going decently and in order #amen.”

Marcille and McCall announced that she was expecting their first child back in August. The 28-year-old former reality television star declared, “Being able to bring a life into the world is every woman’s dream but for me it’s more than just a dream it is a magical, mystical journey which I get to share with this amazing man. Kevin is the only man who I would share this moment in life with.” She added, “My life continues to be a bundle of incredible experiences. Who could ask for anything more?”

Marcille won America’s Next Top Model by beating Yaya Da Costa and Amanda Swafford. Because of this triumph she was awarded a full-page spread in Elle, a contract with Ford Models, and a cosmetics contract with CoverGirl.

At the time she noted, “This little tomboy from L.A. that has never been beautiful. I was not the cute girl in school. I came here the shortest and the one that had the most insecurities inside of them, and now I’m America’s Next Top Model. And I get to represent all the little girls who feel the way I feel… Watch out world here comes Eva.”

She has appeared in numerous TV series, including The Young and the Restless, Everybody Hates Chris, and Let’s Stay Together. She has also appeared on the cover of the likes of Women’s Health and Fitness, Essence and Brides Noir too.
