Robert Pattinson’s Next Movie, ‘The Rover’ Will Be The End Of Humanity As We Know It [Trailer]

Whether or not the bond between Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart can survive as friends, it appears Robert himself will be able to survive the end of civilization, evident by his role as Reynolds in the upcoming film The Rover.

A loner tracks the gang who stole his car from a desolate town in the Australian outback with the forced assistance of a wounded guy left behind in the wake of the theft.

While it may sound straightforward, take a look at The Rover’s trailer to see a gritty, Mad Max look to it, but with phenomenally better cinematography. Pattinson stars opposite Guy Pearce, whose dystopian fare is certainly entertaining (this looks a touch more serious than Lockout). The Rover comes to us from A24 Films and writer-director David Michôd, whose previous offerings include directing and co-writing Animal Kingdom (with fellow scribe Joel Edgerton) and the story for Hesher.

This might be Robert Pattinson’s big chance to finally break free of the Twilight zone and establish a solid career.

What do you think of Robert Pattinson’s limited visibility in the trailer for The Rover? In what kind of movie would you like to see Robert Pattinson star?
