Fans can watch the Super Bowl live online as the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks square off in what promises to be a classic matchup.
This is the first time since the 1990 season that the league’s best defense and best offense will face off in the Super Bowl, and plenty of folks will be looking to watch the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks live online. Last year Fox estimated that the Super Bowl attracted 3 million unique viewers online, and the audience is expected to grow for this year’s game.
The Super Bowl is set to kick off at 6:30 from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Fans can watch the Denver Broncos vs. Seattle Seahawks live online thanks to FoxSportsGo.
Fans who tuned in to Fox online to watch 2014 playoff games will find that the Super Bowl is a lot easier. During the playoffs Fox required viewers to sign in through their local service provider, but they’ve decided to drop the sign-in to watch the Super Bowl online.
The game features Peyton Manning and the explosive Broncos offense against the Seahawks aggressive defense, led by shutdown corner Richard Sherman. The Seahawks defense, which earned the nickname “Legion of Boom,” led the NFL in points per game (14.4), total yards (273.6), and passing yards (172.0) allowed. They also created a league-high 39 turnovers.
“They are as good as advertised,” Manning said. “Probably one of the more impressive things is how well they play together as a unit.”
The game has the added drama of being played outside in cold weather for the first time in the 48-year history of the game. Though the forecast calls for low 40s, players say they’re ready for anything.
“I don’t care where we play,” Seattle safety Earl Thomas said. “I know when we play, all the feelings and the stuff I need to get ready and prepare. It’ll be there.”
