‘Girl Meets World’ Season Expanded To 21 Episodes Before Show Even Airs


Girl Meets World hasn’t even aired yet, and it’s already showing promise! The show, which is set to premiere sometime this year on Disney Channel, has already been expanded from its original 13 episode season to 21 with the additional order of eight extra episodes.

For all of you who haven’t heard about this new sitcom, Girl Meets World is the Disney Channel spin-off of the popular ’90s series, Boy Meets World which detailed the life adventures of Cory Matthews, played by Ben Savage and his family and friends. In this new installment, the show will follow the life of Riley Matthews (Rowan Blanchard), the daughter of Cory Matthews and Topanga Lawrence (Danielle Fishel).

The cast of the spin-off seem very excited by the news that they will be picking up an extra eight episodes in their first season. Just check out their twitter announcements:

According to The Huffington Post, this new spin-off series is expected to draw in millions of Boy Meets World fans. “After all, many of those original ‘BMW’ fans are parents themselves now.” Of course the show is expected to draw in a totally new generation to the show, and it would seem people are already pretty excited about it!

According to IMDb, the show is set to release sometime this year. Rumors have started to spread that say the show could be released sometime this summer, and some have even said that it is set to begin in June. As an avid Boy Meets World fan myself, I know I can’t wait to check this new series out! Will you be watching the show when it does finally make its way to a TV screen near you?
