Shania Twain Returns to Present CMT Music Awards

Get out your favorite pair of boots and saddle up your horses, the CMT Music Awards are upon us again. For this year’s show, Shania Twain is set to be a presenter, making it her first appearance at the awards in seven years. She will be joined by a multitude of new and old stars alike including recent American Idol winner Scotty McCreery and runner-up Lauren Alaina just to name a few.

In addition to the threesome, teen heartthrob Justin Bieber, fresh off his ‘That Should Be Me’ collaboration with Rascal Flatts, will also present. Other presenters include, Luke Bryan, Sara Evans, Laura Bell Bundy, Sheryl Crow, Kristin Chenoweth, Melissa Peterman and “Dancing With the Stars” champion Hines Ward.

Kid Rock will return as host to this year and I for one am interested to see what crazy antics the rocker has in store for the country crowd. If you remember last year, Kid definitely turned the CMT Awards into a party by smoking, drinking and frequently making off the wall comments (sometimes inappropriate) throughout it’s entirety. In a recent US Weekly interview Kid had the following to say regarding the upcoming show:

“Hosting the CMT awards was a wonderful bridge to a great after party. I’m looking forward to crossing that bridge again this year.”

The awards will air live on Wednesday, June 8, at 8:00 p.m. on CMT and CMT.com, will you be tuning in to watch?
