Justin Bieber Gets It Not At All Over Easy On ‘Saturday Night Live’ [Video]
Justin Bieber and the great egg-throwing, egged-on scandal of our time were godsends for Saturday Night Live last night.
The last time the then 18-year-old was on the comedy show he surprised a fair few critics as a host with a crisp monologue, took some well-landed punches, delivered that Hilary Clinton line, and sent a pot scandal packing.
What a difference nearly a year makes.
This time round, Bieber’s 2013 backstory and its latest thrilling installments – the egging of his neighbor’s house in Calabasas, CA and sequel, a monster police raid by Los Angeles’ finest looking for evidence – were comedy gold for SNL.
Back after a four week break, the Drake-hosted show pulled no punches after the rapper wrapped a monologue in which he described Toronto as “the city where the rappers are polite, and the mayor smokes crack.”
Up next, Taran Killam playing CNN’s Brit Piers Morgan grilling public figures accused of misleading the American people.
Chris Christie (aka Bobby Moynihan) was as indefensible as the real one, while Drake as suspended Yankee MLB third baseman, also had no answers for the steroids scandal.
Then it was Bieber’s turn in the hot seat.
The role was handled more than ably by Kate McKinnon, pouting up a storm as the tatted, pompadoured superstar.
Much expense was had as McKinnon’s “Bieber” tried to dodge “Piers” egging probes.
“It’s a tradition in Canada,” came one reply. “I thought my neighbor was a chicken, so I was just returning his kids,” came another.
Capping off the Bieber takedown, “Piers” asked “Justin” to state his age.
The reply? “I think I’m 40, or maybe I’m five. I don’t know — my brain is broken!”
Burn.

Meanwhile, Bieber has resurfaced after the police raid. In Aspen, Colorado.
The 19-year-old hit the slopes with a group of pals, showed off some snowboarding moves, sang and danced on an ice-hockey pitch, and even posted a shirtless selfie.
For some reason, McKinnon stopped short of going quite that far in Saturday Night Live.
