Danity Kane Reunites, Screws D. Woods Out Of Reunion Album

The Danity Kane reunion left former singer D. Woods out in the cold, forced to watch the possible upcoming tour from the outside.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, it was known since last summer that D. Woods probably wouldn’t be there when Danity Kane reunited. Nothing changed at the 2013 VMAs, leaving some people wondering why.

Of course, back in 2009 D. Woods was adamant she would never rejoin Danity Kane:

“It came to an end when it needed to. There was a lot of outstanding issues and obviously that was the only way it could be resolved. But if your services are not being appreciated, you gotta take it elsewhere.”

Despite those harsh words, Woods apparently changed her mind over time, and wanted to see Danity Kane reunited. But every time she tried raising the prospect with the other girls, she only met resistance. The story took a new twist when the Danity Kane reunion was announced last May… without the former singer. D. Woods wasn’t even told it was happening and found out the others had a new manager by reading about the story in TMZ.

To this day, D. Woods still isn’t sure why she wasn’t included in the Danity Kane reunion. While she’s happy they’re bring back the “the sound that I helped them create,” she probably wants to be joining in on the fun with Aubrey O’Day, Aundrea Fimbres, Shannon Bex, and Dawn Richard.

According to Aubrey, this is how the Danity Kane reunion came about:

“It just got to a point where we were reaching a place in all our individual careers where we felt like we established a lot of the things we wanted to develop within ourselves, but we were still missing the pieces of what we had started off with and we didn’t want anyone to define that for us. It kinda started as a phone call, a text to each of us and then we went to lunch and it was like no time had passed. It was like, ‘OK. Let’s do it.'”

While they’re working on a song called Rage, they’ve already released a single called Bye Baby, which has lyrics that also makes it seem like it’s targeted at their former singer:

“You don’t wanna let go, but I’m letting go. Baby don’t cry cry baby. Now good bye bye baby.”

Whether or not that’s the case, D. Woods apparently doesn’t hold any grudges against the other girls:

“Much love to the ladies of DK!! They have decided to reunite and I, like our amazing fans, will be cheering them on.”

Woods says she plans on focusing on continuing her own music career as a standalone.

What do you think about the Danity Kane reunion excluding their former singer?
