Shia LaBeouf Head-Butts Some Guy In A London Pub [Video]

Shia LaBeouf, fresh off his self-proclaimed retirement “from all public life,” was hanging out in a London drinking establishment Thursday night when another patron apparently made an insulting remark about the mother of his girlfriend, 20-year-old actress Mia Goth.

So Shia LaBeouf head-butted the guy.

While he may believe this was a private act and therefore consistent with his retirement, the incident was caught by a bystander on video — of course it was — which can be seen above.

Goth is LaBeouf’s co-star in the current, sexually explicit art film Nymphomaniac, by controversial director Lars Von Trier.

According to an E! Online retelling of last night’s latest Shia LaBeouf spectacle, the 27-year-old star of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull heard, or thought he heard a derogatory remark coming from another bar patron.

What that remark might have been is not quite clear. But it prompted Shia LaBeouf to approach the man in an an aggressive fashion and ask, “What’d you say about my girl’s mom?”

At that point, LaBeouf added, “Are you f****** kidding me?” He then attacked the man with a head butt.

The victim apparently did make some sort of offensive remark, because after Shia LaBeouf is restrained and pulled away, a woman with a British accent says to the head-butt recipient, “Don’t be sarcastic with us again. Don’t even play smart,” The New York Daily News reported.

But Shia LaBeouf is not one to carry a grudge. A short time after the physical confrontation, he was seen — and again, recorded on video — in an apologetic, if somewhat self-justifying mood. As a reporter for TV Guide was able to decipher his rambling speech from the video footage, the former child actor who gained adult stardom with his role in the 2007 thriller Disturbia, seemed to try to calm the situation.

“Like, I’m really just trying to make peace,” LaBeouf is heard to say. “I’m a normal human being. Look, I accept what I gotta get into to do what I love. I’m not trying to s*** on nobody. I’m a human being, you know what I mean? Like I’m super normal. Like more normal than most.”

The bar fight was not a first for Shia LaBeouf, not even a first at the same London pub. The actor got into a physical altercation there in 2012.
