BOGOs, Catalinas, and ECBs Oh My! Thanks to the success of TLC’s Extreme Couponing and websites like Groupon and Living Social taking off, more and more sites are jumping into the couponing game. Realizing that the current state of the economy has families pinching pennies and clipping “coups,” stores are doing all they can to attract consumers and loyal visitors by providing innovative ways to find and use coupons and discounts.

Want Examples? Check out the changes being made on a few of the web’s more popular sites:

Freecoupons.com has made a huge overhaul on their website. The redesign introduces an updated design and user interface, blog reorganization and coupon sharing features. Users now have access to weekly store matchups, shopping tips, and even a way to share coupons with others in their community.

Glenn Beck, the controversial, conservative, talk show host from Fox News has launched Markdown.com which is essentially a Groupon knockoff.

Mark Zuckerberg’s Social behemoth Facebook recently started a group markdown service for it’s users aptly named Facebook Daily Deals.

Google Wallet , which is expected to be available this summer, will allow consumers to take advantage of coupon and customer loyalty benefits all from the comfort and convenience of their cellphones.

Which of these services do you currently use or plan on using? Are there any other sites that you visit daily to find amazing deals?

  1. Nice Article. I just now got Coupons of my Favorite Brands at "Printapons" search online and start saving now.

  2. Did you watch the "Extreme Couponing" show they should have featured "Printapons" which I use and print coupons from online.

  3. All of them…y not? Get as smart as you can :)

  4. The thing I like the best about Google Wallet is that, unlike many of its competitors, it would allow users to link all of their cards, regardless of brand (Visa, MasterCard, etc.) to their Google Wallet accounts.

From a consumer’s point of view, the best mobile wallet would store all of our cards, as well as cash and checks. What we would not want to have is a clutter of apps for each individual card type or even each card issuer. So Google is moving in precisely the right direction and I hope the promised future versions will build on that foundation. http://blog.unibulmerchantservices.com/google-wallet-goes-live-more-consumer-friendly-version-to-follow
