Titanfall Early Release Signups Available

Titanfall early release signups are now available for anyone with an Xbox One and EA Origin account. Titanfall is the forthcoming game from developer Respawn Entertainment and publisher Electronic Arts for the Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. It is also arguably the most hyped game for the new generation of consoles.

US Gamer first reported that users of gaming forum NEOGaf reported receiving emails from EA stating that if they visited this site and logged in with an EA Origin account, they would be on a list to possibly receive early access to Titanfall which is currently slated for a March 11, 2014 release on the Xbox One with the Xbox 360 and PC release dates to be announced at a later date. While the emails went out to EA Origin users with Xbox One consoles attached to their accounts, anyone with an Origin account can sign up. Once a user has signed up for the Titanfall early release alpha test, they are told that selection is not promised and that the availability of codes is “extremely limited.”

MoreConsole also reported that EA representatives are stating the codes can start appearing as early as January 17. The official twitter account for Titanfall is denying any beta or alpha stage early release.

An early test would be a good step for EA which has come under fire during recent months for the SimCity and Battlefield 4 debacles. SimCity suffered from crashing servers for weeks after launch leaving the game unplayable for many due to the online requirement for the game. More recently, Battlefield 4 has been dealing with frequent crashing and other bugs after launch making one of the most popular shooters nearly unplayable online.

As we have reported previously, Titanfall is the first in a new type of hybrid game where the lines between a single-player and multi-player experience are blurred. With no traditional single-player campaign, Titanfall will feature a persistent online connection with online matches of 6 vs 6 players.
