Julianna Margulies’ New York Pad Flooded Over Christmas

Julianna Margulies, the Emmy-winning star of The Good Wife, returned from her Christmas skiing vacation with her family, only to find that her apartment had been completely flooded while she was away.

Marguiles spoke in an interview on the Ellen DeGeneres Show about the flood:

[The cover] came out the day we got back. We went skiing for Christmas this year. We thought is was time to put the kid on skis. They said, your Architectural Digest came out because we remolded and I was excited. [Vincent Wolf] is such a great designer…You are the queen of homes, but anyway, the day it came out on the stands and we walked in from our very long trying to get back to New York City in a middle of a storm. Thirty hours, which was fine and the whole time I kept saying to my son, we have our health. It’s ok; everything is fine we have our health.

So the vacation was great and Julianna Margulies was all excited about the remodelling of her apartment; then she walked through the front door with her family:

We walked into our brand-new apartment with this [magazine] – it was in the mail – and everything was flooded. The whole place had completely flooded from the guy upstairs. His radiator exploded. So at least we have pictures.

The flood at the apartment wasn’t the only bit of bad luck for Julianna Margulies and Co. She told Ellen about the lost luggage incident which marred an otherwise great vacation:

We actually enjoyed it. We went and stayed at the Marriot in Denver. The airport Marriott the beds were very comfortable. We were fine and then they lost our luggage and that’s fine. It happens and then we walked in to our brand new apartment.

This was one Christmas vacation that Julianna Margulies will not forget!
