Roddy Piper Wants Wrestlemania 30 Match With Hulk Hogan


Roddy Piper wants to fight Hulk Hogan at Wrestlemania 30, and he’s taken to his Twitter account to try and generate interest in the match-up.

The 59-year-old wrestling legend took to the social media website to suggest getting back into the ring with the 60-year-old Hogan. He then sent out a series of tweets stating that Wrestlemania 30, which takes place on April 6, 2014, would be the perfect occasion for the bout.

The highly reputed Wrestling Observer Newsletter, which is run by Dave Meltzer, has confirmed that Piper has pitched the proposed tag team match to WWE officials. If it goes ahead it will not only be an homage to the very first Wrestlemania, but it will also feature two of the most popular WWE stars of the modern era too.

The publication wrote, “There continues to be internal discussion regarding a possible Hulk Hogan involvement at Wrestlemania 30. ‘Rowdy’ Roddy Piper has pushed for an idea of a Hulk Hogan and John Cena vs. Piper and CM Punk Wrestlemania match.”

However it doesn’t look as though the fight will take place, because “the company does not believe Hogan could pass a physical.”

Finally, Piper couldn’t resist having a dig at his old wrestling buddy too, and he even went out on a limb and predicted that he would demolish Hogan in the contest:
