Real Housewives of Atlanta Star Kim Zolciak Hospitalized With Flu

As the widespread 2014 flu season heads toward its peak, it looks as though Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Kim Zolciak is weathering the sickness as well.

According to Radar Online, the reality TV starlet was admitted to the hospital last night after catching the influenza virus.

The 35-year-old mother of six, who recently gave birth to twins on November 25, posted a picture on Instagram to let fans know just how bad the sickness was.

Zolciak shared a picture of her arm with an IV, and a hospital wristband. It was obvious the picture was taken from a hospital bed.

The caption for the picture read, “Been sick as hell for 2 days!! Thankful for the best docs ever. #fluseason,” Zolciak said from her hospital bed.

Fortunately, she’s had plenty of help from her husband, Atlanta Falcon defensive end Kroy Biermann.

With six children, there’s probably always something to do in the Biermann household, so the man definitely had his work cut out for him. But, Zolciak posted that he had it all under control, taking over all of the domestic duties for the past week while she recovers from the illness.

“Took a 5hr NAP today! Is that even considered a nap! Hubby let me sleep, woke up 2 dinner, all babies bathed in the bed & the house so quiet,” Zolciak posted a few days before being admitted to the hospital.

However, the “Don’t Be Tardy (For the Party)” singer seems to be doing much better. But, anyone who knows the wig-wearing reality star is well aware that it’ll take more than the flu to keep her from her social media accounts.

As a matter of fact, Zolciak even tweeted of her progress a few hours ago while still in the hospital. She tweeted, “I feel so much better today! Amazing what some IV fluids can do for you! Thx you guys for the well wishes u r the BEST tweet hearts!

Last week, she also shared the debut picture of the latest editions to her growing family. The couple’s newborn twins were recently featured in Life & Style Magazine. She shared the adorable picture on Instagram. The picture’s caption read:

Zolciak and Biermann have been married since November 2011. The couple have six children altogether. With three boys and three girls, it’s definitely safe to say they are the modern day, opulent style Brady Bunch!
