Tom Arnold Drops 89 Pounds For A Good Little Reason

We will be seeing a lighter version of Tom Arnold, who has dropped a whopping 89 pounds recently.

Throughout his career, Tom Arnold’s weight has fluctuated almost as much as his roles have, but something changed in the 54-year-old comedian last April.

Tom Arnold and his fourth wife, Ashley Groussman, 38, became parents to a baby boy, Jax Copland Arnold and that made him change his way of life by working out and eating healthier.

After years of struggling with infertility, the couple finally had their little bundle and they couldn’t be happier.

“Something inside of me changed. I knew I needed to live as long as I could.” Tom Arnold told People Magazine.

“The moment I saw Jax, I realized he deserves the best.” the 6’2? actor confessed.

Tom Arnold has struggled with weight issues and has reached 287 pounds, as well as suffered from depression and overeating in the past.

Prior to his transformation, Tom Arnold would eat a six-egg omelette with cheese and six turkey sausage links, plus oatmeal for breakfast.

His dinners would consist of an extra-large meat pizza with bread sticks dipped in cheese. He also drank up to 15 diet sodas a day.

“There was a lot of shame,” Tom Arnold said. “One time I had a tailor come over and sew the weights into my suits – this is what you wear when you are 210, 220, 240, 300. That saved me the time of going into my closet and getting so upset and frustrated.”

Tom Arnold gave up cake and bread for starters and hit the gym doing cardio, circuit training, and abdominal exercises.

Arnold also confessed his son Jax improved his relationship with his wife.

“When I held him, I accepted he was real and though he is obviously too good for me, he will never doubt that his father loves him very much. I also felt a kind of super love for Ashley. An intimacy and partnership and accomplishment I did not know possible.” Tom Arnold candidly confessed of the impact his baby boy has had on his life.

His dramatic weight loss and healthier lifestyle means more time to play with young Jax:

“I have tons more energy to play with my son,” says Tom Arnold.
