Alyssa Milano Responds To Jay Mohr’s Post-Baby Fat Comments

Alyssa Milano isn’t letting Jay Mohr’s recent comments about her weight bother her.

Both the Mistresses actress and the comedian attended the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Champion’s Awards in Las Vegas earlier this month. After the event, Mohr not only called Milano “Melissa,” but made some disparaging comments about her weight.

“She was one of the presenters… She’s very tiny,” Mohr said. “It seems like she had a baby and said, ‘I don’t really give a s**t’… I read it on her gut… Somebody sat in the director’s chair and was not wearing Spanx and I was like, ‘Jesus Christ.'”

Alyssa Milano, who gave birth to son Milo Thomas Bugliari in August 2011, responded very calmly on Twitter.

“So sorry you felt the need to publicly fat-shame me,” she wrote on Christmas day. “Be well and God Bless. Please send my love to your beautiful wife.”

Jay Mohr has been married to actress Nikki Cox since 2006. They have a 2-year-old son, Meredith Daniel Mohr, who was born in May 2011.

In October, it was announced that Milano’s hit series, Charmed, was up for a reboot. The 41-year-old said it felt “too close” to the original series, which ended its run in May 2006 after eight seasons. Milano also said that she thought it was due to the success of Charmed that shows like Once Upon A Time and American Horror Story were possible.

“I think really it’s due to the success of Charmed and the fact that it had so much success even after it was done, meaning that people looked for it, people searched it out and watched those episode over and over,” she said. “The Charmed fans are the greatest fans on the planet and the most loyal fans on the planet. I feel like networks are trying to replicate that.”

ABC renewed Alyssa Milano’s new series, Mistresses, for a second season in September. It is scheduled to premiere in the summer.
