Scarlett Johansson’s nude alien seductress will be making its way to the big screen in 2014 with the Under The Skin‘s release date in the United States being set for April 4.
As previously reported by The Inquisitr, while the screenplay probably always featured Scarlett Johansson naked, the interesting part to the story is that the movie originally didn’t start its life as a SciFi thriller with an alien seductress.
So apparently, we have gone from one extreme to the other. At one time the FBI arrested a hacker who stole some Scarlett Johansson nude photos, but now she’s gone from protecting her privacy all the way to the other end by flaunting her body. But it’s not like she’s become a nudist:
“I’m not a nudist by trade, contrary to popular belief…The idea of recognizing all these judgments that I place on myself and letting go of them was sort of a therapy…I didn’t feel judged by anybody else, I was only judging myself, so I just needed to let go of it.”
And let go of it she does. The actress apparently spends most of her time running around in her underwear and the first scene blows audiences away with Scarlett Johansson’s full front nudity.
So far only critics have been able to see Under The Skin if they happened to be at a screening at one of the various film festivals around the world. Rotten Tomatoes shows 24 critics giving it a 88 percent score, with reviews ranging from saying it “could well become a cult movie” to others calling it “laughingly bad.”
While the script sounds fairly interesting, focusing on an alien sent to Earth by a rich corporation to prey on unwary hitchhikers, certain moviegoers probably only care about the nude scenes if you go by the hype. Some 2013 roundup articles have even claimed the news about Under The Skin featuring Scarlett Johansson nude was a highlight for the entire year. Which, actually, seems kind of depressing… what do you think?
