A Marc Jacobs T-shirt is featuring Ronda Rousey nude for charity. This launch happens to coincide with the UFC 168 matchup of Ronda Rousey vs Miesha Tate.
As previously reported by The Inquisitr, there have been Brock Lesnar UFC rumors stating the WWE wrestler may stage a return today.
The Protect The Skin You’re In campaign is another way to set a legacy. Like Miley Cyrus, Ronda is posing nude to raise awareness for skin cancer and has already raised over $1 million for the NYU School of Medicine’s Interdisciplinary Melanoma Cooperative Group. Other celebrities joining the cause have included Victoria Beckham, Naomi Campbell, Heidi Klum, Eva Mendes, Hilary Swank, and Kate Upton.
The big match is upon us and both women are getting riled up. UFC 168 will feature Chris Weidman vs Anderson Silva 2. Additionally, a Women’s Bantamweight Championship bout features current champion Rousey vs Tate.
Ronda Rousey’s UFC career began in an interesting way. First she was a model and then an actress on the reality TV show The Ultimate Fighter. But she’s glad those days are over and would “rather slum it and not shave and punch things.” Completely unbeaten so far, she’s hoping to leave a legacy for other women to follow in MMA:
“I really still feel like that weight is still on my shoulders. When I feel like I don’t have that responsibility anymore, that’s when I’ll start thinking about stepping away…. I want to be able to sit and have that look of contentment and have that smile that I see Royce with when he’s at those [UFC] events. I really want there to be women’s MMA fights in the UFC 20 years from now and be able to sit there and just revel in what was created.”
The Rousey vs Tate is highly anticipated mostly because Miesha headed up the opposing team during their Ultimate Fighter days. And Ronda is proud to admit it:
“If the ‘Real Housewives’ threw down at the end of their season, how great would that be?. Every schoolyard in the world loves a fight. That’s how you get them to glance at us.”
Miesha Tate, for her part, isn’t so concerned about leaving a legacy and just wants to KO Ronda:
“I just keep picturing in slow motion, me landing that one knockout punch. And her just falling and the ref just stopping it before I can even get another punch in. Just like, ‘She’s done! She’s done! Don’t hurt her anymore.’ Yeah, I just want to win by brutality.”
And, yes, there is a lot of bad blood on Ronda’s part, who is said to insult and flip off Meisha even when the cameras are gone:
“I was taught that the people who are next to you are your family. If anyone insulted my family like that, I’d absolutely lose it. It was the way she did a lot of backhanded and cheap things to the kids on my team. And she really insulted my coaches and friends. When she’s just focused on me, that’s fine. I expect that. But when you come after my kids like that? I won’t accept it.”
Who do you hope will win Rousey VS Tate?
