Gisele Bundchen Makes Surpise Visit To Teen Makeup Blogger With Bone Cancer

Gisele Bundchen gave a late Christmas present to a 15-year-old girl battling bone cancer — a personal makeup tutorial.

Karina Xavier is a teen fashion blogger who posts style tips and tutorials on her website ChicByKarina.com. Karina has said she wants to become a professional makeup artists one day, and on December 26 she got a visit from fellow Brazilian Gisele Bundchen to get some help with that goal.

Karina later shared a Facebook picture of the surprise visit from the supermodel, writing about how much it meant to her:

“From the moment you surprised me, until the moment you left, I was so shocked for you being here with me! Thank you so much for taking time off of your day to come visit me and spend some time with me! Also thank you for your kind words and your very meaningful gifts! You are a great person and you will continue inspiring me I love you @giseleofficial And to my followers: Stay tuned for something special on my blog!!! I’m so happy!!!!!!”

Karina even got a chance to do Gisele’s makeup, bragging about it to friends on Facebook.

The surprise visit went much better than Gisele’s last social media post about makeup. Earlier this month she posted a picture on Instagram showing herself breastfeeding while getting her makeup done for a photo shoot.

“What would I do without this beauty squad after the 15 hours flying and only 3 hours of sleep #multitasking#gettingready.”

The picture earned Gisele Bundchen some criticism, especially among those who feel she is a little too fervent in pushing breastfeeding. In 2010 Gisele said there should be a worldwide law requiring moms to breastfeed.

“Some people here think they don’t have to breastfeed, and I think, ‘Are you going to give chemical food to your child, when they are so little?’ There should be a worldwide law, in my opinion, that mothers should breastfeed their babies for six months,” she said.

Gisele Bundchen also posted about her visit with Karina Xavier, calling the girl a “warrior, an inspiration of positivity and courage.”
