Paul Benedict dead aged 70

Actor Paul Benedict, the English neighbor Harry Bentley on the sitcom “The Jeffersons,” has died aged 70.

Benedict was found dead Monday in Martha’s Vineyard and authorities were still investigating the cause of death.

Benedict started his acting career on stage in Boston in the 1960s alongside Robert De Niro, Dustin Hoffman and Al Pacino. Paul Benedict appeared in a number of movies, including The Goodbye Girl.
