Leonardo DiCaprio Orgy Scene: Model Spills Secrets Of Shoot

Leonardo DiCaprio has a tough job, but someone has to do it. In his new film, The Wolf of Wall Street, DiCaprio plays high-living financial swindler Jordan Belfort. The movie presents a pretty-much faithful depiction of how Belfort himself, quoted in The Independent newspaper, once described his outlaw stock-fraud company: “Hookers in the basement, drug dealers in the parking lot, exotic animals in the boardroom, and midget-tossing competitions on Fridays.”

And orgies on board private jets.

One noteworthy scene in the film depicts just such a wild, decadent event. Earlier this week, one of the women hired by the star and director Martin Scorsese to play a semi-nude prostitute in the scene spilled the backstage beans about what it’s like to simulate group sex on a movie set with some of the most world’s most famous male movie stars.

Maria Di Angelis is a veteran supermodel and actress who has been claimed by no less a source than Ripley’s Believe It Or Not to hold the record for most appearances on publication covers. Her likeness has appeared on more than 3,000 romance novel covers, her web site claims.

Di Angelis, who doubles as a writer herself, published an essay in The New York Post describing her experience with the DiCaprio orgy scene, from audition to conclusion.

She says, in all modesty, that Scorsese specifically asked “at least eight or nine times” for her to appear in the scene before she relented. Her main reservation? Getting naked on camera.

“My first reaction was: ‘I can’t do it! I’m not taking my clothes off! I’ve never even cursed on camera!'” she wrote. “But then I thought about it: ‘This is Martin Scorsese. How can you say no?'”

So now the world knows how to get a supermodel to strip nude. Be Martin Scorsese.

When she arrived at the audition, however, she found not only Scorsese but all of the main male actors in the film waiting for her arrival.

“When I entered the room, it was like that scene from “Flashdance” where the girl has to impress a panel of guys. I looked up, and Leonardo DiCaprio, Jonah Hill, Rob Reiner and Matthew McConaughey were all sitting there in a line, with Martin Scorsese right in the middle.”

Clearly, they were all there to make sure that only the finest acting talent made it into the expected Oscar-contending film. Their concern for quality was reflected as they quizzed Di Angelis about her credentials.

“They asked a few questions — how I felt about being nude on camera. ‘I don’t know,’ I replied. ‘I’ve never done it before!'”

During rehearsal for the scene, Di Angelis and the other actresses were instructed in how to simulate inhaling cocaine through one’s nose and, perhaps most importantly, “looking like you are having sex without actually touching the other person.”

Not every actress took the coaching to heart, apparently. Though Di Angelis herself was not required to have pretend sex with Leonardo DiCaprio, another actress embraced that assignment with gusto.

“This girl was completely naked, sitting astride him, while he was wearing a suit,” Di Angelis recalled. “She was very — how can I say? — enthusiastic. It wasn’t acting. They had to keep telling her: ‘You can’t just, like, hump him.’ She was all over him.”

Another actress allowed actor Jonah Hill to spank her so hard that she complained of “broken blood vessels all over my a**.”

In the end, Di Angelis says, she was able to make it through the filming of the scene “pretty much fully clothed in my red leather jacket and lingerie.”

But as New York Magazine pointed out, as uncomfortable as it might have been, the experience was apparently a confidence-booster for Di Angelis. She reports numerous other actors referring to her as “so hot” when they thought she was out of earshot.

Then one said to her face, “You’re gorgeous! What am I gonna tell my wife? I’m so happily married, I can’t even look at you!”
