Arnold Schwarzenegger Gives Love Child A New Jeep For Christmas

Arnold Schwarzenegger didn’t leave his illegitimate love child off his Christmas shopping list.

Instead of having the pricey vehicle shipped to Joseph Baena’s home, TMZ reports that the Terminator star drove the ride to the house himself. Not surprisingly, the kid was pretty happy with his brand new 2014 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon.

Unfortunately for Baena, he can’t legally drive his Christmas present just yet. Since the kid doesn’t have his driver’s license as of this writing, he’ll have to settle with admiring the ride from his driveway. Of course, it’s only a matter of time before he can slip behind the wheel without fear of getting arrested.

Eager to try his hand at piloting the expensive Christmas present from Arnold Schwarzenegger, Baena reportedly tried to sneak the ride out for a spin. However, his mom promptly stopped that adventure before it got underway.

For those who are late to the party, Arnold Schwarzenegger had a secret affair with housekeeper Mildred Baena. The end result of their relationship was Joseph Baena, though the world didn’t know about the whole thing until 2011. During a chat with 60 Minutes last year, the actor admitted the relationship was a serious mistake.

“I think it was the stupidest thing I’ve done in the whole relationship. It was terrible. I inflicted tremendous pain on Maria and unbelievable pain on the kids,” Schwarzenegger explained.

The Sabotage star also addressed the infidelity in his book Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Life Story. Although he reportedly begged his wife for forgiveness, the couple ultimately decided to go their separate ways in 2011.

“The minute we sat down, the therapist turned to me and said, ‘Maria wanted to come here today and to ask about a child — whether you fathered a child with your housekeeper Mildred,'” he said of that fateful counseling session. “I told the therapist, ‘It’s true.'”

In fact, Schwarzenegger reportedly handled the paternity suit without his ex-wife’s knowledge. The actor told 60 Minutes that keeping secrets from family and friends has helped him remain successful over the years.

“That’s the way I handle things, and it always has worked. It’s not the best thing for people around me… Some information I just keep to myself,” Schwarzenegger explained.

Devastated by her husband’s revelation, Maria Shriver filed for divorce two weeks after he admitted to having an affair with their housekeeper. At the time of the 60 Minutes interview, the actor said he still hoped to reconcile with his wife.
