Cameron Diaz ‘Body Book’ Focuses On Health And Nutrition

Cameron Diaz‘s new book The Body Book provides health and nutrition advice and also contains photos that she took of 40 different women she interviewed.

Her new book supposedly is not a typical celebrity diet plan or weight loss guide, but “a holistic, long-term approach to making consistent choices and reaching the ultimate goal: a long, strong, happy, healthy life,” according to the publisher. The book becomes available on December 31 and is intended for women of all ages and sizes.

Diaz, 41, “wants to use her celebrity to make a difference. She knows she is a role model to girls and she really wants to use that position to do good. This book is not about weight, it’s about making the right choices,” the Examiner reports. Making good choices includes getting on a regular exercise program and eating a diet rich in vitamins and minerals.

The actress has already admitted that she was not a healthy eater in the past. “If you are what you eat, I was a bean burrito with extra cheese and extra sauce, no onions.” Trying to improve her skin and body prompted Diaz to study nutrition and well-being techniques that ultimately led her to publish the book.

Diaz recently made headlines when she posted a selfie on Instagram without any makeup upon receiving an advance copy of her new book (see video below).

In addition to her first venture into publishing, Cameron Diaz is starring in a new movie called The Other Woman, which also features Nicki Minaj and Kate Upton. She is also a producer on the upcoming TV version of Bad Teacher. There was also a rumor going around that she was forced to re-record her dialogue in director Ridley Scott’s thriller The Counselor because executives didn’t like her accent.
