Britney Spears Often Thinks About Retiring After Her Stint In Las Vegas

Britney Spears often thinks about retiring once her stint in Las Vegas wraps up.

Every month or so a popular musician or actor decides to express their desire to leave the entertainment business behind. This time the threat of retirement arrived courtesy of Spears, a singer who is all set to launch a two-year gig at Planet Hollywood in Sin City.

During her conversation with E! Online, Britney Spears said that she often thinks about retiring. However, it’s doubtful that she will hang up the microphone anytime soon.

“I have thought about it, but I think right now is my time to perform and doing what I’m doing,” she explained while promoting the documentary I Am Britney Jean.

The singer continued, “If I happen to have another baby or something like that, I’d probably move back to Louisiana. I do miss Louisiana. I miss the people. I miss the food. I miss the way of life, how everything is really simple. There’s no traffic like there is in Los Angeles. It’s really nice.”

This isn’t the first time Britney Spears has dropped a few hints about possibly retiring. The singer previously discussed the issue with Mario Lopez earlier this month. Although retirement probably won’t happen for at least two years, the idea is apparently lodged in her musical mind at the moment.

“I might, who knows… I may have two more kids and get married… I’d like to have more kids,” she recently told Extra.

Britney added, “I think it does kind of help with dating someone not in the business, I could kinda understand if you’re dating someone in the business they’d understand what you’re going through every day and stuff. I feel like the chemistry kinda speaks for itself when you date someone out of the industry.”

For the moment, Britney Spears has her mind set on delivering the best possible show during her stint in Las Vegas. The singer told Ryan Seacrest earlier this year that putting together these performances required some very tricky and difficult choreography.

“There’s a lot of different, interesting aspects to the show and a lot of moments where the audience feels like they’re in the show with us. A lot of special effects like that and it’s the most dancing I’ve ever done,” she explained during her chat.

Although Britney Spears often dreams of days when she’s retired and hanging out in Louisiana, the singer is getting ready to kick off her shows in Las Vegas on December 27.
