Demi Lovato Gets Into Mild Twitter Feud With Miley Cyrus’ Friend

Demi Lovato apparently got into a little Twitter spat with Miley Cyrus’ personal assistant and friend Cheyne Thomas late last week. And you thought celebrities weren’t like everyone else..

The confrontation seemed to start on Friday evening after Lovato issued a post on Twitter; a thinly-veiled message that seemed to ruffle Thomas’ feathers. Instead of letting the comment roll off his back, he decided to respond with a tweet of his own. Oh, celebrities!

According to Celebuzz, Demi Lovato’s issue with Miley Cyrus’ personal assistant began when Thomas posted an Instagram video that mocked the singer’s struggle with addiction. Although the clip was later deleted, it wasn’t long before someone posted the video on YouTube. You can find it embedded below.

Fed up with everyone making fun of her problems, Demi Lovato expressed her thoughts and feelings on the subject with her followers on Twitter.

“You know who your friends are,” the former X Factor judge wrote in response to the clip.

Sensing that the comment was probably tossed in his general direction, Cheyne soon issued a retort. Thus began a mildly amusing, albeit wholly unforgettable spat between Lovato and a guy with decidedly limited public appeal.

“So nice running into you! Stop trying to get famous off me,” he tweeted.

Gossip Cop reports that Lovato issued a few more posts directed towards Thomas, though they’ve since disappeared from her feed. Through it all, Cheyne seemed to keep his sense of humor about the exchange.

“Don’t stoop below your level Demi, you’re better than this. It is funny though. I think we can get past this. This whole experience has made me like you more,” Thomas tweeted.

Poor Demi Lovato. Quite a few people are having a laugh at her struggle to kick drug and alcohol addiction. In addition to the video posted by Miley Cyrus’ friend and personal assistant, the “Neon Lights” singer was a little shocked when a skit centered around her penchant for consuming “annoying juice” appeared during The X Factor finale.

“She has had no issues with producers before. They were making a joke and didn’t intend for her to get so angry. She’s making it more of a big deal then intended,” an insider recently told the folks at Hollywood Life.

If she’s a little irritated with the show’s producer, then at least she doesn’t have to look at them anymore. The singer recently confirmed that she won’t return to The X Factor next season. Instead, Lovato wants to focus on her upcoming tour and album.
