Kristin Cavallari Admits That Relationships, Fights On ‘The Hills’ Were Fake

Kristin Cavallari is telling America what most everyone who ever watched The Hills probably knew — the entire show, relationships and fights and all, was completely fake.

The reality star sat down with fellow reality television veteran Bethenny Frankel for a revealing interview about the nature of her hit MTV programs, Laguna Beach and The Hills.

In the interview, Kristin admitted that what viewers saw on television wasn’t real at all.

“I had fake relationships, fake fights,” Cavallari said. “Here, I can tell you this I don’t care anymore at this point it’s been so many years. Brody Jenner at the time was dating Jayde Nicole, and if you don’t know who these people are this is going to go right over your head.

“He was on my show, I dated Brody when I was 18 right after Laguna Beach actually and that’s it and then on the show, The Hills, they had us dating for a few episodes they pretended like him and Jayde broke up and I was dating Brody and then Jade and I got in a huge fight because she saw us out at the club, which wasn’t real at all. They were together the entire time.”

Kristin Cavallari said she felt comfortable spilling the secrets now that she’s moved past that phase of her life. She has since gotten married to Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler and is pregnant with a little boy.

Kristin said The Hills didn’t have an actual script, but instead production would feed lines to the actors.

“What they would do if we were out at lunch or something they would text us what to say so that if you were there at the restaurant you wouldn’t see what they were doing,” Cavallari said. “So we would look at our phones and go blah, blah, blah I cant believe he said this, blah, blah, blah and then we would look at our phones.”
