Beyonce or Jennifer Lawrence as Ginger For ‘Gilligan’s Island’ Reboot?

Beyonce or Jennifer Lawrence could possibly get the role of Ginger in the 2014 planned reboot of “Gilligan’s Island”.E! Online interviewed Caprice Crane, the daughter of the original Ginger, Tina Louise. When asked who should play her mom’s famous sexy bombshell role, Crane suggested maybe Beyonce or Jennifer Lawrence should get the role.

“I’m in love Jennifer Lawrence.” she shared. “She’s so fresh and charming and I love her ideas. The last go-around when this was being discussed, Beyoncé was suggested—and I think that would be a good idea.”

She also suggested that the professor could possibly be gay in the “Gilligan’s Island” reboot, “My mom was constantly coming on to the Professor on the show, and he was never into it. So the Professor could be the gay one. It would explain a lot. It would be fun if they shake it up, make it worthy of today’s times.”

Josh Gad has already agreed to be involved in the writing and to play one of the characters in the “Gilligan’s Island” reboot. Adding the star power of Beyonce or Jennifer Lawrence would really boost the mass appeal of the film.

Beyonce is relevant once again after releasing a surprise album on iTunes last week. She is no stranger to acting either. She has appeared in 12 films as an actress, with “Austin Powers: Gold Member” and “Dreamgirls” being her most famous roles.

Jennifer Lawrence has taken Hollywood by storm in recent years, with her work in the “Hunger Games” series and the highly acclaimed “Silver Linings Playbook”, in which she starred as the deranged love interest opposite of a mentally ill Bradley Cooper. Casting her as Ginger would be a brilliant move by Warner Brothers, since she is probably the hottest thing in movies right now.

If you were casting a Gilligan’s Island reboot, who would you cast as Ginger? What about the Skipper, Gilligan, the Howell’s, Mary Ann, or the Professor? Tell us in the comments below!
