Pippa Middleton Not Engaged To Nico Jackson Yet, Report Says
Pippa Middleton and Nico Jackson may not be getting ready to walk the aisle just yet.
A source has put a stop to rumors that the couple had gotten engaged during a worldwide tour, saying that Pippa doesn’t have a ring on her finger just yet.
The Daily Mail quoted a source close to the couple who said that Jackson has definitely not proposed to Pippa yet.
Just hours before, reports had begun circulating that Nico Jackson proposed to girlfriend Pippa Middleton during a trip to India’s Oberoi Amarvilas earlier this month.
“It was exactly how he planned it,” a source told Us Weekly. “Very romantic and grand!”
The report added that the couple planned to get married sometime in the coming year. The rumors seemed credible enough, as the couple have been dating for 15 months and already faced engagement rumors back in September.
Those rumors even got so far as to speculate that Pippa’s sister, Kate Middleton, would serve as a bridesmaid, but a source close to the couple put a stop to the report.
“Everyone knows how close the sisters are but at this stage the final arrangements are a long way off,” a source said. “Pippa’s wedding will be a huge occasion but if Kate is a bridesmaid it will be even more high-profile.”
Pippa Middleton rose to prominence on the global scene after serving as maid of honor for her sister Kate. Since then, she has become a celebrity in her own right; she published her first book this year, called Celebrate: A Year of Festivities for Families and Friends. Pippa has also served as a contributing editor of Vanity Fair in June.
Pippa gained such a high profile, in fact, that reports said the royal family asked her to cut back on her public appearances, especially in the wake of the unwanted attention Kate Middleton’s topless picture scandal brought to the family.
It’s important to note that the report squashing the engagement rumors did not say that Nico Jackson wouldn’t propose to Pippa Middleton, just that it hasn’t happened yet.
