Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino Lands New MTV Deal

“The Sitch” is going to be an MTV star even after Jersey Shore leaves the network. Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino has inked a new deal with the network with a pilot expected to film in late 2011.

Sorrentino hasn’t signed on to a specific project at this time, but has agreed to create a new MTV vehicle. According to Sorrentino:

“I’m excited to continue my relationship with MTV, which has been home for me for the last couple of years,” while adding, “I’m really grateful for all the support from my fans. Hopefully, there will be plenty more situations in the future.”

Sorrentino joins DJ Pauly D who recently signed on to start in his own project and Snooki and JWOWW who will host a new reality TV show together.

In the meantime the entire Jersey Shore cast is currently on their way to Italy this month to film the fourth and probably last season of the mega-successful reality TV series.
