Candace Cameron Refuses To Get Naked On Camera, Won’t Do Sex Scenes

Candace Cameron is best known for her portrayal of D.J. Tanner on the wholesome sitcom Full House, and the 37-year-old actress said she isn’t about to break that family friendly image now.

Now a mother of three, Candace said she is very careful about the roles she places.

While Candace said she and her husband would be comfortable with her kissing another man onscreen, they have two hard rules — no nudity and no sex scenes.

“What’s very important to me is that it’s family-friendly programming or there is some positive message, or something of value to take away from watching it,” she told YourTango.com. “I have boundaries that my husband and I talked about and are both comfortable with… If you watch anything I do, you’ll see I don’t go beyond kissing someone. I’m not going to get naked, and I’m not going to have sex scenes.”

Candace Cameron has been married to former hockey player Valeri Bure for 17 years, and said her Christian faith has helped give her marriage a strong foundation.

“The best advice I’ve ever been given is being handed a Bible. That’s the blueprint for marriage that we go by, and that’s what our marriage is grounded in,” she said.

Candace comes from a famously faithful family. Her brother, Growing Pains star Kirk Cameron, has produced and starred in a number of Christian-based movies, and has an even stricter rule for his acting.

While his sister Candace said she is fine kissing someone other than her spouse on screen, Kirk goes a step further. When one of his movies called for him to kiss another actress, Kirk actually had his wife stand in.

For all the roles she has now, audiences still remember Candace from her Full House days. The show remains so popular, in fact, that when word spread earlier this year of a possible reunion show featuring the grown up Tanner girls, the rumor spread like wildfire.

But the show, which would have shown Candace Cameron along with Jodie Sweetin, was nothing more than a fictitious rumor.
