Adrian Peterson Loses Snowball Fight, Picks Twitter Fight
Adrian Peterson left Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens with an ankle injury. But that’s not what had the Vikings RB angry after the Vikings’ loss. No, Peterson was mad about getting pelted with snowballs.
“They’ve got the worst fans in the NFL,” Peterson said following the Minnesota Vikings‘ heartbreaking 29-26 loss in Baltimore. “(They were) throwing snowballs the entire fourth quarter, like kids. It was a bad feeling, a bad feeling.”
Peterson, who left the snowy game in the second quarter, was also criticizing the officiating. Minnesota ended up with six penalties, including a big pass interference call that brought back an interception during what would end up being Baltimore’s game-winning drive in the final minute.
“Some of the calls that were made, you just went, ‘Wow. I can’t believe that was called,'” Peterson said.
Peterson took to Twitter to explain how he really felt.
Wow talking about bad officiating & the worst fan base I’ve ever experience! They threw snow balls the entire 4q like lil kids. Smh

Word is the Vikings rounded up a few of the snowball throwing Ravens fans for tryouts. Nobody on that roster can throw worth a damn

On a day full of NFL games affected by terrible snow conditions, the biggest story in this one started out as Peterson’s injury. He has been the only bright spot for the struggling Vikings. The NFL’s leading rusher and 2012 MVP, hurt his right foot in the second quarter after catching a short pass and being tackled near the sideline by linebacker Arthur Brown.
“We did X-rays, and it came back pretty clear,” said Peterson, who ended up with 13 yards on seven carries. “The next step is to get an MRI done (Monday) and find out more.”
But now we all know, Adrian “All Day” Peterson does not like to play in the snow.
