Zoe Saldana Works Hard To Keep Her Marriage Private
Zoe Saldana is opening up about how hard she works to keep her marriage private in Hollywood.
Being in the public eye is not easy for anyone, let alone married couples in Tinseltown. Many high profile relationships and marriages end, it seems on a daily basis in Hollywood, as few can withstand the scrutiny and gossip.
Zoe Saldana is trying very hard to keep her private life away from prying eyes and opens up about this topic in the latest issue of Ocean Drive Magazine.
Saldana is married to Italian artist Marco Perego, but she only confirmed the wedding on December 3, during an appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show.
“I love what I do so much, but I love my [personal] life more,” she told the magazine. “I realized through the years of being in this business that the only way to maintain some kind of sanity is to protect that which is most dear to you, which is your life and everyone that’s in it.”
Zoe Saldana and Perego actually married in July, but they have kept the big day a secret to enjoy as much privacy as is possible in this business.
However, rumors were all over the pair after they were spotted wearing gold bands on their ring fingers during a night out on the town.
The wedding apparently took place in London this summer, following a relatively short romance after being friends for a long time.
Zoe Saldana told Kimmel she has a rule of thumb when it comes to her personal relationships:
“(It) provides a sanity that gives me the ability to be insane by playing other people and living in other bodies for a long period of time, and then coming back home and knowing that my roots are so grounded that it’s easy for me to go back to being myself. The only way I can continue having that is by absolutely avoiding the questions that are asked.”

Marco Perego, 34, is a former professional soccer player, whose career ended when he suffered an injury. He is an artist who hit it big about six years ago at an art exhibit in New York, where some of his paintings sold for as much as $30,000.
However, don’t think that Zoe Saldana fell for someone who likes to be in the spotlight. Perego is reportedly very private and not your typical Hollywood star. He comes from a humble upbringing where his mom stayed at home and his dad was a waiter.
Nicknamed Pirate Perego, because of his long hair and beard, Zoe Saldana’s husband seems to be perfect for her, no wonder she wants to protect her relationship.
