‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ Adds Rita Ora As Filming Gets Underway

Fifty Shades of Grey recently added Rita Ora to the cast.

Although filming on the steamy adaptation of author E.L. James’ erotic novel is currently underway, producers are still looking for folks to round out the cast. According to Time, the British pop singer is the latest individual to sign on for a part in the flick.

Rita Ora will reportedly play Christian Grey’s adopted sister Mia Grey in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie, a role that many believe she simply isn’t right for. Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson will tackle the lead roles in the highly-anticipated adaptation.

The Hollywood Reporter points out that Rita Ora isn’t exactly known for her acting. Although she appeared in the British flick Spivs and last summer’s Fast and Furious 6, Ora is better known for her singing and her frequent appearances in the tabloids. She was recently hired as the face of Madonnna’s fashion line.

The Inquisitr previously reported that filming on the Fifty Shades of Grey adaptation is currently underway in Vancouver. Although the film is presently slated to arrive on Valentine’s Day 2015, it’s still unclear just how raunchy producers will make the final cut.

“What we’re kind of hearing is that they (the fans) want it dirty, they want it as close to the book as possible. We could release the R-rated version, which everyone will enjoy, and then for those fans who want to get a little gritty we could release an NC-17 version a few weeks later,” Dana Brunetti recently explained.

The producer added, “That is my idea, but the fans and the studio will benefit from the double dip. We do not want this film to be seen as mommy porn, we want to keep it elevated but also give the fans what they want.”
