Britney Spears Discusses Las Vegas Show, New Album With Ryan Seacrest

Britney Spears shed some light on her new album and her upcoming Las Vegas residency.

In case you’re not up-to-date on everything related to the “Work B****” singer, Spears dropped Britney Jean on retail shelves today (November 3). Although the tunes were available for streaming last week, fans can now officially purchase the songs in question.

According to the folks over at E! Online, Britney Spears is presently preparing to shake her famous moneymaker onstage in Las Vegas. The whole shebang reportedly kicks off on December 27. If you haven’t picked up your tickets yet, then you might want to consider doing so before these early performances sell out.

During her recent chat with Ryan Seacrest, Spears said preparing for her Las Vegas shows was nothing short of grueling. In fact, the forthcoming performances are much more physically demanding than some people might expect.

“There’s a lot of different, interesting aspects to the show and a lot of moments where the audience feels like they’re in the show with us. A lot of special effects like that and it’s the most dancing I’ve ever done,” the singer recently told Ryan Seacrest.

Spears decided to take up residency in Las Vegas in order to avoid the trials and tribulations associated with touring the world. Instead of traveling to different stages, she’s hoping fans will make the journey to Planet Hollywood to catch her performances.

“It seemed like the ideal job to me because I felt like when I was on tour, I’m in a different bed every night… It felt kind of ideal to be set in one place,” Spears said earlier this year.

The singer also used her recent appearance on Ryan Seacrest’s radio program to discuss the songs found on Britney Jean. Judging from her comments, there’s a lot of personal material on the new album. In order to make everything pop in the studio, Spears enlisted the help of producer and Black Eyed Peas member will.i.am.

“There’s a certain moment in all of our lives where you feel alone… And thats what [‘Alien’] is about. [‘Don’t Cry’ is] pretty personal. It’s about a relationship and what you go through and trying to hold it together,” the singer dished during her recent chat.

Unfortunately for Spears, putting a lot of herself into the new songs isn’t really panning out with the critics. Britney Jean currently has a Metacritic score of 53, which means that it’s receiving quite a few mixed reviews. However, these critiques probably don’t mean very much to the singer’s legion of dedicated fans.
