Jamie Dornan, Dakota Johnson Begin Filming ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ [Photos]

After months of rumors and subsequent casting controversy over the movie adaptation of Fifty Shades Of Grey, the filming process is finally getting underway in Vancouver, Canada, like it or not.

Fans have been waiting for what seems like an eternity for this day, and after all the drama with casting the main character, Christian Grey, in the last couple of months, it appeared as if it would never happen.

Both Jamie Dornan (Grey), and Dakota Johnson as the innocent Anastasia Steele were spotted on location this weekend doing their first scenes together for Fifty Shades Of Grey. The production is moving along, as promised.

Filming was scheduled to start last month, but due to the departure of the original actor cast for the male lead, Charlie Hunnam (Sons Of Anarchy), and the rush to find a replacement, things were delayed for a few weeks.

Directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson, Fifty Shades Of Grey is the story about the twisted sexual relationship that starts when billionaire magnate Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) and Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson), who is a recent college graduate, meet.

The erotic novel by the British author has been dubbed as “mommy porn,” as it became very popular with middle aged women when it first came out.

Several shots from Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson’s first scenes at a cafe have been posted to Twitter, and fans are very excited to finally see their Fifty Shades Of Grey dreams of a movie realized.

E.L. James, the author of the trilogy which has taken the world by storm since the books were released starting in 2011, shared a teaser on her Twitter account indicating the beginning of production. Finally.

Producer Dana Brunetti, retweeted James, sounding excited to be off.

Joining Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson are Luke Grimes as Elliot Grey, the adopted brother of Christian, Eloise Mumford as Anastasia’s roommate, Kate Kavanagh (who is also Elliot’s love interest), Victor Rasuk as Anastasia’s close friend, José, who inspires jealousy from Christian, and Jennifer Ehle is set to play Ana’s mother, Carla.
