Tyrese Visits ‘Fast and Furious’ Co-Star Paul Walker’s Crash Site, Breaks Down at the Scene

Actor Paul Walker’s fatal crash has devastated millions around the world, but his ‘Fast and Furious’ co-star Tyrese took the loss much harder. Although fans have witnessed their lighthearted comedic banter while the cameras were rolling, the extent of their friendship went far beyond the big screen.

On Sunday afternoon, Tyrese visited the site of the fatal crash in Valencia, Santa Clarita, CA where Walker died. Overwhelmed by emotion and the sight of the crash scene, the singer-actor broke down over the unbearable loss of his friend.

TMZ reports that the solemn scene was completely silent, as mourners allowed the singer to grieve.

Before his arrival at the site, Tyrese took to Facebook to share his sentiments on the loss, offering his condolences to Walker’s family.

“My heart is hurting so bad no one can make me believe this is real Father God I pray that you send clarity over this cause I just don’t understand My heart hurts it’s broken no one can convince me that this is real…. Prayer warriors please pray real hard for his only child, his daughter and family…#HeartOfAnAngel13YrsFamilyForever WeJustCelebreatedYour40thBirthday….. My God… My God… I can’t,”

After the emotional scene, Tyrese posted a cell phone screenshot of his last conversation with Walker on Instagram. The picture captured the last text messages they shared just two days before he died. The two spoke for the Thanksgiving holiday, and Tyrese was fortunate enough to share his sentiments of their friendship before Walker’s passing.

Along with the screenshot, Tyrese included a message to Walker. “At least I got to say I love you…. #OurLastExchange but our laughs and moments will live forever #ThisIsWorstThanMyWorstNightmare #GodiLoveYouAndiwillneverquestionYou…. But this I just don’t understand #PaulForeverFamily #MyHeartHurtsSoBad please pray for his daughter and family…”

Tyrese also posted a second picture in dedication to Walker. This image was of him holding a piece of carbon fiber that remained from the 2005 red Porsche Carrera GT Walker was in at the time of the crash. The singer took the piece of the wreckage as a keepsake. “I will keep your energy with me forever #AshesOfAnAngel fast family around the world we live you and we love you Paul is the heartbeat of this franchise and were gonna see to it that his energy and presence lives on forever #myhearthurtssobad,” he wrote on Instagram.

Hundreds of fans have visited the scene, which has been set up as a makeshift memorial site, for Walker and his friend Roger Rodas. Rodas, who was identified as the other victim in the vehicle, was also killed in the accident. Flowers, candles, and DVDs were left at the site in memory of the two. According to the Santa Clarita Valley Signal, Walker and Rodas died in the crash when the vehicle struck a light standard and tree before bursting into flames.
