Basketball Wives’ Evelyn Lozada is Pregnant, Shows Off Baby Bump

Basketball Wives’ star Evelyn Lozada has kept a very big secret for quite some time. However, the secret is definitely out now, and she confirmed it herself! The reality TV starlet is indeed pregnant with her second child, and she actually has more time behind the pregnancy than ahead.

Lozada has revealed to People Magazine that she is, in fact, six months along in the pregnancy. “I am so excited to announce a wonderful blessing — I’m pregnant!” So, that explains her abrupt decision to cut ties with the show, and bail on the Basketball Wives’ Season 5 Reunion.

Her appearance would have definitely lead to speculation, ultimately uncovering the truth. But, the mystery part of it all is that she also confirmed that her ex-husband, former NFL star Chad Johnson, is NOT the father of her unborn child.

For those who who missed the details of their whirlwind marriage, Lozada and Johnson wed on July 4, 2012. However, the honeymoon was over before it started, as they were involved in a high-profile domestic dispute, and Johnson was accused of head-butting his new wife. As a result of the debacle, the marriage dissolved in a matter of 60 days.

Lozada filed for divorce sometime in September. The daunting details of their marital demise actually played out on-camera during the latest season of Basketball Wives. However, it’s obvious there was more to Lozada’s life than what fans saw when the cameras were rolling.

According to TMZ, the Latin fitness expert bounced back from the heartache relatively quickly, as she’s actually been dating the father of the child for close to a year. It was also reported that the relationship is evolving into a serious one, and her pregnancy was actually planned.

However, she’s opted not to reveal the identify of her new man for the time being. But, nevertheless, Lozada is elated and excited about the pregnancy. Lozada took to Twitter to share her sentiments with fans. She expressed her high anticipation for the future, with the expansion of her family under with the hashtag, #NewBeginnings. She also tweeted a special tweet on Thanksgiving Day. “I’m so thankful for so many things! How much greatness has happened in a year! I’m sooooooo damn HAPPY!!! Yipeeeeeee!!!”, said Lozada.

During her recent interview with People Magazine, the 37-year-old also shared her feelings about stepping into motherhood for a second time. “I’m excited about being a mommy all over again,” said Lozada. “This is something I’ve been wanting for years and I can’t believe it’s finally happening.”

Lozada also has a 20-year-old daughter, Shaniece Hairston, who shared a picture of her mother’s baby bump on Instagram.
