Calvin Harris Almost Knocked Out At Miley Cyrus’ Birthday Party
Calvin Harris learned the hard way that partying with Miley Cyrus is dangerous business.
The DJ was one of many famous individuals in attendance at the controversial singer’s birthday party over the weekend. Although he showed up to help celebrate Cyrus’ 21st trip around the sun, he reportedly almost had an encounter with a “flying little person” who was sailing around during the singer’s performance.
According to The Independent, Calvin Harris almost got knocked out while Miley Cyrus was singing a rendition of “Wrecking Ball” in a very revealing leotard. Unfortunately for Harris, one of the little people who was on-hand to help out with the show almost clocked him in the head at one point.
The DJ soon headed to Twitter to thank the person who saved his life: One Direction’s Liam Payne. Apparently the singer was nimble enough to rescue Harris from the precaiours situation before it became an extremely unusual headline.
E! Online explains that several little people were also in attendance to help Cyrus recreate her infamous MTV Video Music Awards performance at her 21st birthday party. The website also points out that the singer had a “professional twerk team” hanging around to give the event a little class.
DJ Calvin Harris and Liam Payne weren’t the only famous faces in attendance at Cyrus’ birthday bash. Emma Roberts, Wiz Khalifa, and Fashion Police host Kelly Osbourne were also spotted hanging out at the party. When you’re as famous as Cyrus, you can get a plethora of celebrities to help you celebrate turning 21.
Unfortunately for Harris, this isn’t the only time he’s made headlines in recent days. The folks at the Daily Star seemed to think he was planning a romantic getaway with Rita Ora in order to strengthen their relationship. Not surprisingly, this information arrived courtesy of an anonymous source. In short: It’s probably not true.
“Rita and Calvin have barely seen each other in the last couple of months and now she has put her foot down. She feels on her own too much and when they do see each other he’s been really preoccupied with other things,” this insider told the publication.
The source added, “Rita’s mum, who is a psychoanalyst, suggested they take a holiday in the middle of nowhere to see whether they can enjoy being with each other without distractions and events. She worries that her daughter isn’t building enough for her emotional future. He has agreed to the break as he doesn’t want to lose his girlfriend.”
