Nick Cassavetes Released From Gotti Biopic, New Director Needed

Executive Producer Marc Fiore was forced to remove Nick Cassavetes this week from the upcoming biopic Gotti: Three Generations. The split was a mutual decision as Cassavetes was running into scheduling conflicts with another movie he is currently shooting.

In recent weeks we have revealed various casting decisions for the John Travolta (Gotti) helmed movie including that of James Franco (Gotti Jr.), Lindsay Lohan (Victoria Gotti) and Kim Kardashian (Kim Gotti).

The hunt for a new director is already underway and shooting is still expected to start in Fall 2011.

It’s still left to be seen if all the movies casting calls will be kept in place when a new director puts their stamp on the movie.
