Brad Pitt Island: Is Brangelina Buying A Heart Shaped Island?

Brad Pitt Island, myth or reality? News has been circulating that Angelina is buying Brad a heart shaped island for his 50th birthday.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Brangelina is no stranger to dropping massive amounts of cash on luxurious gifts.

Rumor has it that this time Angelina Jolie plans to spoil Brad Pitt rotten with the $20 million dollar island. The island in question is purported to be Petra Island, 50 miles north of New York City. “Brad Pitt Island,” as it’s been dubbed, boasts two houses designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, allegedly one of Brad’s favorite architects. The island spans 11 acres, has a 1,200 square foot cottage, and a 5,000 square foot house.

The story originally claimed the actress had already purchased the home, but that now appears to be false as the property owners state the island is still on the market. Daughter of the current owners, Donna Massaro, revealed the truth:

“It is still for sale. I don’t have any idea where that [report] came from. The family threw it out there to see if anyone was interested, and so far no [potential buyers] have [come forward]. We are open to show Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt the island but they have to have lunch at my cafe first. [The house] is a labor of love and a piece of art.”

Brad Pitt Island still has a chance to become a reality though, as Brad doesn’t turn 50 until December 18th. A source supposedly close to the couple talks about the possibility of Brad Pitt Island:

“As soon as Angelina heard the island was on the market she arranged a viewing. She was really impressed. The house is perfect for romantic getaways or as a family retreat. It’s very private. And Angelina knows the fact the island is in the shape of a heart will mean so much to him.”

Apparently, no bids are even on the table as of now. Other lavish gifts the couple has recently shelled out money for are a bike worth $100,000, a $12,000 Ducati, over roughly $6,000 on Agent Provocateur lingerie, and a $7.5 million dollar yacht.
